Our last unit of the year was the Ancient Rome unit which was my favorite unit we did this year. Some of the important events we learned during this unit would include in 753 BC when Rome was Founded and it started the beginning of the monarchy. The next important date was when the republic was created in 509 BC and it ended the monarchy. Another important date was the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BC. In 27 BC the republic ended, so the empie and Pax Romana begun with the reign of Octavian. In AD 476 the Last emperor was desposed and in AD 1453 the Byzantine Empire fell to the Ottoman Empire.
